I received this e-mail:

Good morning,

I am sending you the attached photograph because unfortunately I did not think to take down the name or address of the veteran pictured here together with his very kind wife, and I would have liked to send them a copy. Maybe you can identify the gentleman in question or maybe you could publish it on your website where someone who knows him may see it.

I spoke to the couple for quite a long time about their interesting memories of D-Day and the Normandy campaign before posing with them for this photograph and it seems very silly of me not to have asked them for more practical details such as an address, but there you have it, I did not.
